Join us for a close look at Portugal’s famous Douro Valley and the fortified red wines produced there for hundreds of years with Jesse Balsimo of Amara Wines. We will explore a range of aged Tawnies,  Late Bottle Vintage (LBV), a 1997 Colheita, Vintages, and even an White Port from the oldest and one of the most renowned Port makers in the world, C.P. Kopke.  You will learn the history, how they are made, discuss the different label lingo, and how to drink them. Class includes tasting of 5 ports paired with artisian cheese and housemade truffles while you sip, listen, and learn!
